Early Cinema, Frame Coloring

For this dive into the unique problem solving of early filmmakers, I focused on the laborious process of photographic coloring that was used by directors such as George Méliès (A Trip to the Moon, The Vanishing Lady). I crafted and photographed a 10-second clay-mation in black and white, and then digitally colored and edited the animation frame by frame.
